Don't Buy Anything New This Upcoming Shopping Season Until You Do These 5 Things

We can all of think of time where we were so excited to shop that we went a little overboard without realizing it. Since we are at start of the holiday shopping season, this week I'm giving you 5 things you have to do before you buy anything to lessen your chances of having buyer's regret.

One
Do an assessment of what you've got. That way you know exactly what you want and need.

Two
Give some things away. That way you're not just buying things for the sake of buying, and more importantly, you'll be giving to someone else and that's truly the reason for the season.

Three
Set a budget so you still have money left over to do other things. The holiday season is LONG, so you don't want to find yourself with lots of things to wear but no money to go out and actually enjoy different events.

Four
This can be a bit touchy but determine current your size before you head out to shop. Whether you've gained weight or are on a weight loss journey, you need to know your actual size. That way you're only buying things that fit you at your current size/weight.

Five
If you plan on working out and getting fit going into the new year, only buy basics  that you'll need for the next few months. That way, as you lose (or gain weight) you can donate the pieces that no longer fit and replace them with pieces that you can make good use of for an extended period of time.
