The weather is warming up, your favorite artists have announced concert tour dates (YAY for Beyonce fans lol), and you're probably finalizing your vacation plans for the summer.
So, to help you look your absolute best during the next few months, I'm going to give you the top 10 trends for spring and summer 2018, and how you can make them work in your everyday life.
1. Ruching - This is an oldie but still goodie. It works especially if you have problem areas you want to hide, or if you want to create the illusion of curves. Try pairing a skirt with ruching at the hips with fitted tops.

2. The Fanny Pack - Listen, I'm a sucker for details so when I saw the resurrection of this old trend I was super excited. If you're a bit shy of this one, still try it. Wear it on a lazy Saturday with jeans and a tee when you're running around doing errands. BTW it's also called a bumbag.

4. Lavender - If you don't know this already spring and summer is usually when the lighter hues can be seen the most. Lavender is being hailed as one of the colors to wear this season. If you're not quite comfortable wearing brights, try pairing a lavender necklace, handbag or shoe with subtle colors like gray or nude that won't make you stand out too much. Now, If you're a girl who isn't shy at all, try a bold lavender bottom with a basic color top.

5. Black & White Polka Dots - Personally I've been loving this trend. I went to the US in December, and when I came back this was a recurring theme of the pieces I brought back. That's when I realized how in love I am with it. This trend is probably one of the easiest to pull off. Try a polka dot dress with a bright lip or bold pump to bring the look together.

6. Pink & Red Color Block - I noticed this color combo popping up last fall. I didn't realize it was on the list of top trends this season. It's an interesting combination since red is known to be a color that denotes power, and pink is usually seen as playful and girlie. But it works. Some people can do an entire look and other feel more comfortable going for something subtle like a shoe or handbag. Either one works. Do what makes you feel the most comfortable.
