Spring and summer is the time of year where you trade your heavy footwear for something more light and freeing. From sandals to mules, to sneakers, they all make at least a couple of appearances until the weather gets cold and dry. Unfortunately, there are some people who hate their toes or feet on the whole and have a hard time letting them out for the world to see. You might even have a beautiful pair of sandal you'd love to wear but in your mind, your feet just don't look right, and you're afraid for the world to see them.
In this week's post, I'm giving you five things you can do to help yourself feel more comfortable letting your feet get some sun action.
1. Wear Sandals with a lot of straps over the top of your foot. Think of these types of sandals like little cages. They'll keep most of your feet hidden. And if you have the ones with adjustable straps, you can tighten them up to make your feet look a lot more narrow.
2. Wear mules and footwear that only your heel. Showing little sections of your feet at a time will make them appear smaller.
3. Avoid bright toenail polish. If you hate your feet, make it your goal to not wear anything that will cause them to draw attention. Toenail polish may not seem that important, but trust me you're more likely to draw attention to them wearing bright pink polish than you neutral shade.
4. Wear hues that are close to your skin tone. When you do this, you're tricking the eye to not be able to tell where your ends and your feet begin.
5. Avoid wearing heavy colors, prints & patterns. These will automatically bring attention to your feet, especially if you're pairing them with other hues they can overshadow.
